Fine. I understand computers are used in ID. But, I don't have computer background. What about me?
As you rightly said, computers do find extensive use in ID. Keeping this in mind, our training
program is designed in which you will be trained on CAD & other creative multimedia packages
like 2D, 3D animations etc. Since necessary computer basics are covered, prior knowledge
in computers is not required. |
| |
Briefly about the training
We firmly believe, students need professional guidance at every stage. Our training methodology is such that you will be trained by Practicing Professionals in the fields of Architecture & Interior Designing - The people who can take you to the world of Interior Designing from the Day 1. During the training you will be creating model spaces, designing interiors and generating great ideas for real life construction. You will be working with computers on design and presentation which is yet another flavor for your designing ideas. Also you will be practicing the art of ID throughout your training through projects. |
| |
Projects! That sounds interesting. But on what?
Well, as you are groomed during the course, you will be given live projects for which you will
be taken to places where you will apply all your skills learnt inside the campus of USAM. These
projects are aimed at giving you the confidence of handling your own assignments once the
training is over. Projects will be on various ID assignments viz., Interiors for Cottage, Residence, Office, Commercial complex and Restaurants. On designing for interiors, you will be trained on Furniture designing, Color concepts & lighting design etc., |
| |
That's nice. Who can take up this course?
Almost anybody. Educated young girls/boys, housewives, employed/unemployed men &
women who possess the passion and a basic creative spark. Spark on anything like drawing,
designing, painting, fashion etc. |
|
|
Age limit?
Since creativity has no age limit, we do not set the same for people. |
| |
How is the environment at USAM?
At USAM, creativity is omnipresent. Well built, well lit classrooms will add fuel to your imagination. Classrooms with computers for demonstration purposes and O.H.P. will make training at a pleasant pursuit of your dreams. |
| |
How the training program structured?
Well. It is designed into 12 modules split into 12 months. Related computer software will be
taught simultaneously in the last 4 months. During each module, you will be given interesting
projects in the classrooms as well as off campus. You will be doing 5 live projects. Apart from
these projects, you would have done at least 100 model sheets, seminars, site visits, guest
lectures, by the time you pass out of the campus. |
| |
I believe "Art forms a significant part in Interiors. What about that?
You are right. Adding some more flavor to the course, Fine Arts will also be covered in the
program. Precisely to say, nothing is left that has anything to do with Interior Design.
|
| |
That's great. Fine, what about the certification after the training program?
Successful completion after 12 months, entitles you to be awarded the "Honors Diploma in
Interior Design" certified by practicing professionals at USAM. A testimony to your professional
skills. |
| |
So, the making of a "Ace ID" starts from now. Isn't it?
Aptly. As we promise, you will see yourself as a complete and competent ID professional trained at USAM, by the same period next year. "Wishing you good luck." |
